The vegetation of the area is composed basically by Cerrado (Brazilian Savannahs). Jalapão is the largest preserved areas of Cerrado on the country.
In the fauna we can find the Jaguar, Deer, Wolf-Guará, Capybaras, Tapirs, Blue and Canindé Macaws, Toucans, Emus, Seriemas, etc.

You will visit all the main attractions of Jalapão and do 3 days rafting in crystalline and potable waters with more than 50 rapids (Class II / IV-).

1st Day - Arrival in Palmas (capital of Tocantins)
Meeting at the airport, Lunch and city tour on Palmas. Trip to Novo Acordo City (about 2:30) . Lodging in the Dutchman's Hotel, a very different and exotic place.
2nd Day - Trip to Jalapão
We leave the hotel at 8AM to Jalapão. The trip lasts about 7 hours, in dirt roads with beautiful landscapes. On the way we pass by the gorgulho hill's, Sono River, Mandacaru hill, São Felix village and finishing the day in the wonderful waters of the Ant waterfall. We camp at Vicente's farm.
3rd Day - Land Attractions
We leave at 8:30 AM for the incredible Fervedouro ( big spring were you can go inside). We follow to the Mumbucas Community where we have a lunch with local food and meet the fantastic "Capim Dourado" (Golden Grass). Then we drive to Mateiros Village an then to the Dunes to appreciate a wonderful sunset. After that we goo for the the New river riverbank, where we set up the camp.
4th Day - Rafting (class II)
On this day the river have just a few rapids, but a fast current. During the run we make some incursions to visit interesting points. We also can float on the limpid waters of the river. The camp is on a white sand beach.
5th Day - Rafting (class II/III+)
On this day we have a lot of very nice rapid's, but with some calm stretch where we can swim and enjoy the beauty of the river. The camp is on a white sand beach
6th Day - Rafting (class II/IV) and trip back
We start the day with a 40 minutes stretch of rafting and arrive at the beautiful Old Woman Waterfall. After the visit we run the best rapid on the river. We have a lunch and drive to Taquaruçu a small village close to Palmas. We stay in a farm hotel
7th Day - After a nice breakfast we do a trekking trough the many waterfalls on the Charmed Farm. Lunch and transfer to the Airport.

-Age: Usually varies from 20 to 50 years. What always prevails, however it is the young spirit. Minimum age 10 years.
-Difficulty : Some light track's and the whitewater rafting class ll / lll+ (with rapids class IV optional).
The river have a good current, it is not necessary to row a lot. On average we stay in the river five hours/day alternating moments of paddling and rest. Accessible, therefore to anybody with good physical disposition, even if inexperienced in whitewater rafting.
-Lodging in this itinerary : In Novo Acordo City we stay at the Dutchman's hotel, a very comfortable and exotic place. In Jalapão we used wild camping. In the first night will be in a very simple camping in a farm and in the following ones on the riverbank of the beautiful new river in paradisiacal white sands beaches. We offer a great structure with all camping gear, tents for two people with inflatable mattress (except sleeping bag).
The last day of the itinerary we stay in Taquaruçu (a district of Palmas) in the Charmed Farm Hotel , but if necessary we use hotels in Palmas three stars as Hotel Buritis and Hotel Rio do Sono.
-Weather : The period from May to September is called of summer, even being winter in Southern Hemisphere. The reason is becouse at this time rains just a little (an average of 77mm), and the people from the region take advantage to spend their summer time on this period.
The medium temperature during the day is from 25o to 35o C and during the night 17o to 20o C.
-Vehicle: Is the "Carcarodon" truck 4x4 adapted for passengers' transport (FAZER O LINK COM A FOTO DO CAMINHÃO), but in some eventuality we can use another vehicle.

- Lodging in the Dutchman Hotel in double, triples or quadruple rooms for one night.
- Lodging in Taquaruçu in a hotel farm in double room or triple for one night.
- All transport from/to the Palmas Airport during all days of the trip.
- All meals (no drink's when the meal is on a restaurant)
- All the rafting gear (boats, padlles, live jackets, helmets and dry bag's)
- All camping equipment except sleeping bag.
- A guide for each 7 passengers
-Don't include : The transport until Palmas, drinks on the restaurants, phone calls, other personal expenses and other services no mentioned.
-Medical precautions, vaccines and personal medicines:
Is important to visit a dentist before the trip, to avoid some carious teeth in a place far from some dentist help.
On this area there are no tropical disease. The only recommended is the vaccine Anti Amarílica (Yellow fever), this should be taken at least ten days before the trip.
We have no related cases of Yellow Fever on the region only in the neighbor state Goias. Find out with your doctor.
Our First aid kit have the medicines for the classic problems on this kind of trip. However, we suggested that each one takes their personal medicines as well the basic medicines of your contry like antibiotics of your tolerance, anti-diarrhei and don't forget the sunscreen, lip balm, moisturizing cream and inset repellent.
- Luggage:
We suggest to have your personal suitcase and a small back pack. During the day the suitcase will be not accessible and you can take the personal belonging on the back pack.
For the rafting we have a restrict places on the dry bag's, so you will receive a small bag where we suggested to put following list:

- 1 shorts for Rafting
- 1 shoe for Rafting (Tennis or Teva)
- 3 extra shirts (1 long sleeve)
- 1 shorts
- 1 light coat
- 1 pant (light)
- 1 tennis or sandal - for the camp
- 2 socks
- 2 swim trunks / bikinis
- 1 towel
- 1 cap
- 1 sleeping bag
- 1 sunscreen
- 1 inset repellent (2 for who is allergic)
- Personal hygiene (Shampoo and soap preferably neutral)
- Medicines of personal use
- 1 flashlight with extra bateries
- Sun glasses
- Important:
Verify the date of validity of your passport and have a copy for the case of misleading.
We suggested you change your money and bring around R$ 300,00 (US$100,00). Cards, traveler's checks and other currency are difficult to change, and in most of the places through where will pass, they are not accepted

The sun on the tropics is very strong, the protection of the skin is fundamental. Always have available a hat, a shirt, sunscreen and lip balm.
